[Older version discontinued] Plant cell model, wooden cell model

If your child is intrigued by cellular life, this is the perfect work for them! 

This material will not only allow your child to advance their scientific knowledge, but will also allow them to continue developing and refining their fine motor skills, spatial understanding, concentration, and sense of order. 

This material includes: 

• Wooden puzzle base
  
• 11 wooden puzzle pieces
• 11 wooden labels 

Children will likely take a particular interest in the size and shape of each wooden puzzle piece and will likely be drawn to the intricate drawings on them as well. 

Self-correcting indicators include the size and shape of each puzzle piece and the size of the wooden base. 

Variations for this work include removing the puzzle pieces out of order and arranging them out of order once removed. 

To extend this work, children might enjoy making their own cell diagram (either as a drawing or as a model) and labeling each part, researching one or more of the parts of the plant cell, or creating a new cell by mixing and matching the cell parts and drawing/writing about the characteristics of the new species they've developed.
